I got a lot of experience using wallpaper while making my first site. And one thing I found is that some textures, no matter how great, you can never use. A texture needs to be dark, medium, or light. If it is all these things, you can't write on it.

So, the way this site works is: I show you a thumbnail of a texture. If you like it, click it to see how it looks as a background. A new window will open, showing you the background. I will also include several colors of text on the page so that you can judge which colors work best (because that is the catching point). To download the texture, just right click anywhere on the background of the texture you want. Then Save Image.

I already have hundreds of backgrounds available. I am now adding coordinating buttons, rules, bullets, and link graphics for each background. I am also replacing and updating older backgrounds. Every web page is always a work in progress. I've devoted 3 years to this site, and as my skills have grown, I've tried to reflect that in my offerings. Please check back often and I would love any feedback you could offer.

Once you choose a collection of backgrounds, scroll down on that page and check them out! My advice is try them all out to see how they look as backgrounds. And don't forget, we are dealing with graphics, so give it time to load.

Textures Volumes 1, 2, and 3 are textures that I have made, they are a variety of colors and textures.

Borders are backgrounds with a design down the side and a solid block of color on the rest of the page. You've seen them before; they add to the page and are also very easy to put text on.

The Useful Links page contains many links to sites with FREE things for your sites: counters, forms, animated graphics, as well as HTML help, placement on search engines, and banner exchanges. This is a basic list of many things you might need and each are sites I have personally used.

The Links to Me page offers the code for a text or graphic link back to me, if you want one. In addition, I have created several different graphic links for different tastes.

The Updates Page is for people who have been here before and want to see what is new. Go here to see what was added where and when.

There is no need to link back to this page if you use one of my textures (though I would very much appreciate a mention somewhere on your site), but I would really love for you to drop me an e-mail if you do use one so I can see how it looks! In addition, I have added a page of links to sites using my backgrounds.

If you do want to link back to me, use one of the codes and/or one of the graphics here. Don't forget to check if the background you choose already has a coordinating link graphic!

If you want me to create a custom background for you with your name or your sites name or custom graphics to match your background, just e-mail me with the name or address of the background you like and, of course, what text you want to appear on it. .
